Welcome

This site contains presentations, publications, lessons and training materials developed over many years. The site is continually updated so I hope you'll come back often. All content is freely shareable and linkable, but I'd love to hear your comments about any of it. You can always find me at sine@udel.edu.

Come back often!

Obsolete Skills

Our Teaching with Technology Community of Practice had a great discussion today about just how much this "digital native" stuff applies. It was the consensus of this group of University instructors that our students know only about a narrow swath of new technologies, especially cell phones, YouTube and Facebook.

I came across this site that lists all the skills that have become obsolete. And there is another site just like it but with more pictures.

One thing that jumps out right away is that so many of the skills that are now obsolete are skills that most of the people I know never even learned.

Interesting to think about!
